One person killed in Djakovica

The Kosovo Police Service advised that one person aged 42 years was killed yesterday. The written statement of regional police in Pec states that the motive for the murder is not known at this time but that a suspect has been arrested.

"On Monday at about noon in Tirana Street in Djakovica a 42 year-old person [A.B.] was wounded with a firearm. Casual passersby transferred the victim to the regional hospital in Djakovica but physicians established he was dead," the statement says.

A few hours after the murder police arrested a suspect and after searching his house they found a weapon which is assumed to have been used to shoot at the victim. No motive was given for the murder.
