No plan B for Kosovo's status: Albert Rohan

Sofia. There is no plan B for Kosovo's status, the UN's deputy special envoy for Kosovo's future status Albert Rohan said in regard to the publications that there is a plan B for Kosovo's status, which envisages that Kosovo's government will unilaterally declare independence within several months, a journalist of Focus Agency reports.

Albert Rohan met Bulgarian Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin. He added Pristina had agreed to participate in the negotiations scheduled for February 13th in Vienna. The talks will be related to the UN's special envoy for Kosovo's status Martti Ahtisaari's proposal for the province's future status. Belgrade's response is expected.

"For Bulgaria retaining regional stability is an extremely significant aspect of the resolution to the Kosovo issue," Minister Kalfin stated, adding the aspect could be guaranteed only when all parties were fully committed to maintaining the stability in the region.
