Kosovo liberation

TELEGRAPH (UK) LETTERS, 3 February 2007

Sir - In the 1990s, I worked for an international organisation in Kosovo. The Kosovo Liberation Army was referred to by the international media as "a terrorist organisation". BBC coverage yesterday on Martti Ahtisaari's report on the future of the province recognised the KLA as "liberators".

When do terrorists become liberators?

Sir - Germany proposes EU legislation making genocide-denial an offence punishable by imprisonment. The European Commission will surely welcome this with open arms, as it could pave the way to imprisoning those who deny that the EU is a good thing.
