Teenager killed by KFOR vehicle in western Kosovo

PRISTINA, Serbia-A 14-year-old Albanian girl was struck and killed by a car from the Spanish contingent of the NATO-led peacekeeping force in Kosovo, police said Tuesday.
The girl was walking to a village near the western town of Pec when the accident happened, Pec police spokesman Zeqir Kelmendi said. He said an investigation had been started.
Spanish troops are part of the 16,000-strong KFOR peacekeeping force deployed in Kosovo, which has been administered by the United Nations since 1999.
