No New Talks with Serbia: Kosovo President

FOCUS ENGLISH NEWS (BULGARIA), 27 December 2006 15:04

Pristina. There will be no new talks with Serbia because Kosovo has tried all opportunities for talks, Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu said at a meeting with the commander in chief of KFOR General Roland Cater, cited by Radio and TV Kosova.

Sejdiu has stated this is the stand also of the UN special envoy to Kosovo Marti Ahtisaari, who declared the talks closed. Sejdiu's words come after the President of the Coordination Center for Kosovo Sanda Raskovic-Ivic stated Ahtisaari's proposal on Kosovo would be only a ground for the further negotiations on the region's status.
